JDCC baseball sweeps Delgado for third straight win

Hosting Delgado Thursday in Brewton, the Jefferson Davis Community College Warhawks baseball team earned two wins to improve their winning streak to three straight win.
In game one Thursday, JDCC won 12-2 in six innings. In game two, JDCC won 9-3. The two wins improved the Warhawks to 20-27 overall this season.
The Warhawks of JDCC will be back in action at home on Thursday when they host Wallace-Selma in their final conference series of the year. The game will be a nine and seven-inning doubleheader and will begin at noon.

Game one: JDCC 12, Delgado 2
JDCC scored five runs in the first inning and nine over the first three innings to deal Delgado a 12-2 loss in six innings.
At the plate for the Warhawks, despite being outhit 11-8, Brandon Goins and Alec Talley led with two hits each while Craig Headley, Brandon Davis, Bailey Hansen and Justin Abdo all had one hit each.
Goins, Headley and Hansen all had a double each while Abdo, Goins, Hansen and Talley had two RBIs each.
Headley and Chad Simmons had one each.
On the mound, Riley Hodge earned the pitching win as he went 4 2/3 innings and allowed seven hits, one earned run, walked one, struck out one and hit one batter.
Taylor Baynes closed out the game as he went one inning and allowed three hits, and one earned run.

Game two: JDCC 9, Delgado 3
In game two, JDCC scored four runs in the third and five in the fifth to earn a 9-3 win to get the sweep.
Headley led in the win as he went a perfect 4-for-4 with one RBI.
Abdo, Caden Lodge, and Goins all had two hits each for JDCC while Davis and Dake Rivers had one each. Headley had two doubles for JDCC while Davis, Hansen and Rivers had one each.
Hansen and Rivers led with two RBIs while Abdo, Lodge, Goins and Headley had one each.
On the mound, Matt Gillis, Nick Helton and Chase Laney all pitched with Gillis earning the win.
The trio combined to go seven innings and allowed 10 hits, three runs, two earned, walked two and struck out nine.
