The T.R. Miller Lady Tigers recently went 2-2 the class 3A area 2 softball tournament Thursday in Opp to finish as area runner-up.

The 2-2 record in the tournament moved TRM to 16-8-2 overall.
TRM Lady Tigers head coach Greg White said he thought his team played well defensively and pitched well for the better part of the day Thursday.
“In the two games against Opp we just couldn’t score any runs,” White said. “In the first game against Opp we had several chances to put runs on the board, but we couldn’t get that hit when we needed it and we lost 3-0.”
White said in the championship game against Opp, his team did nothing with the bat in our hand.
“Our defense kept us in the game for a while but we just couldn’t get it done offensively,” he said. “Opp is a very good team and they just did a better job of hitting than we did.”
