WSN track athletes participate at state in Gulf Shores

Athletes from W.S. Neal’s track team represented the team well in the state meet over the weekend in Gulf Shores.
Quenton Samuel placed third in the 100-meter dash with a time of 11.35 while Malcolm Hawthorne took fifth with a time of 11.41.
Samuel placed eighth in the 200-meter dash with a time of 24.18.
Kody Kaufman participated in the 400-meter dash and placed 15th with a time of 53.51. Kaufman also placed sixth in the long jump and 21st in the javelin.
For the WSN girls, KeKe Floyd placed fifth in the 200-meter dash with a time of 27.32.
