The 10th annual Greater Brewton Area Chamber of Commerce Golf Tournament will be held Thurs., May 21 at the Country Club of Brewton. The format of the tournament is a four-person scramble with a limit of 22 teams.
Steve Nelson, Jr. serves as chairperson of the tournament and said the current amount of teams is already more than last year.
“As of right now we have 15 teams registered,” Nelson said. “That is four more than last year. We still have some slots open for more teams and we welcome more teams.”
Nelson said lunch will be served at the event and any monies raised will be a fundraiser for the Chamber.
“Peach Motors will be our sponsor for the hole-in-one hole as they will have a car at the hole for anyone who sinks a hole-in-one,” he said. “We will have prizes for the first, second and third place teams. We also have other hole-in-one prizes on three more holes. Hole sponsorships are still available for $100 each.”
Lunch will be served at 11:30 a.m. and a shotgun start at 1 p.m.
If you are interested in playing, fax registration to 809-1793 or call 251-867-3224.
