Brewton 10U finishes third in Andalusia (updated with stats)

Brewton’s 10U all-stars recently went to Andalusia for their tournament and came back with a 3-2 record and a third place finish.
Brewton opened the tournament with a 12-0 loss to eventual tournament champion Opp before reeling off three straight wins. During the three straight wins, Brewton downed East Brewton 19-1, Evergreen 15-5 and Andalusia 7-1.
Needing one win to reach the championship game, Brewton was edged out by Covington County 7-6 to get eliminated.
Against Opp, Adam White had the lone hit for the Brewton all-stars.
Against East Brewton, Brewton pounded out 13 hits and held EB to one hit. Against Evergreen, Brewton had seven hits and held Evergreen to one hit.
Against Andalusia, Brewton held their third straight opponent to one hit while getting four of their own.
Against CC, Brewton had 11 hits and CC had six. For Brewton, Ty Qualls had an inside-the-park home run.
In the five tournament games, Bracken Pettis and Ed Dolohite both had eight hits each while John Wesley Sessions had seven. Sessions led the team with a .636 average.
White had four hits while Qualls, Coley Kelley, and Thomas Lowery had two hits each. Brother Peace and Craig Blevins had one hit each.
Dolohite led the team with 11 runs scored while Pettis and Peace scored seven runs each and Sessions had six. Kelley scored five times and Qualls scored four. Sam Kelley scored three times while White scored twice. Lowery, Blevins and Jim Daugherty scored once.
No other stats or game information was known as of press time. No stats or info from East Brewton’s games were known as of press time.
East Brewton opened the tournament with a 7-6 loss to Andalusia before being eliminated by Brewton with a 19-1 loss to finish 0-2.
