Fred Wesley Knowles, 60, passed away on June 9, in a Pensacola hospital, after a brief illness.
He was self-employed as an auto transmission specialist.
He is survived by two sisters, Ruby Haynes of Brewton and Sara Boutwell of Flomaton; two brothers, Charles Knowles of Lynchburg, Va., and Larry Knowles of Brewton.
A memorial service was held on Sat., June 13, at Magnolia Baptist Church, with the Reverend Jerry Morris and the Reverend Larry Knowles Officiating.

LILA DAQUISTO
Brewton

Lila Daquisto, 75, of Brewton, passed away on Fri., June 12, 2015.
She was born in Brooklyn, N.Y., and called her hometown Liberty, N.Y. before moving to Brewton, where she lived for over 20 years.
She was a member of Brewton First Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Sam and Gwendolyn Greenberg.
She is survived by one son, John Bogan of New York.
A memorial service was held at Brewton City Park on Thurs., June 18, at 5:30 p.m. Johnson Funeral Home of Monroeville was in charge of all arrangements.

THE REV. BISHOP CLYDE FLOYD MADDEN
Brewton

The Rev. Bishop Clyde Floyd Madden, 75, of Old Castleberry Road in Brewton, passed away Thurs., June 18, 2015, in a local hospital after a brief illness.
Rev. Madden was a native of Jay, Fla., and a former resident of Escambia County, Fla., before moving to Brewton in 1974.
He was a minister of the Gospel in the Apostolic faith since 1969.
He was a carpenter by trade and was former Bishop of the Apostolic Potter’s House Church. He was a United States Army veteran.
He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Carolyn Sterling Madden of Brewton; two sons, Tim (Madonna) Madden of Baton Rouge, La. and Shane (Michel) Gryner of Brewton; four daughters, Marsha (Leonard) Pendleton of Brewton, Julie (Stephen) Pendleton of Brewton, Bethani Madden of Brewton and Grace Madden of Brewton; nine grandchildren, Kristen Michel Gryner, Ashley Danielle Jackson, Andrew Kohl Madden, Mikayla Ashtyn Madden, Phebee Guiliana Pendleton, Pheona Leilani Pendleton, Dewayne Pendleton, Brandon Pendleton and Adam Pendleton; eight great-grandchildren, Kirsten Elizabeth Gryner, Emiley Jade Gryner, Seth Nolan Gryner, Cameron Floyd Gryner, Gentry Garrett Gryner, Daria Kenya Jackson, Mia Milon Jackson and Liam Drake Jackson.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ed and Katie Madden and grandson, Timothy Stephen Madden, Jr.
Homegoing services were held Mon., June 22, at 1 p.m. at the Apostolic Potter’s House Church with the Rev. Stephen Pendleton, the Rev. Ronnie Baker, the Rev. Steve Breceda, and the Rev. Scott Meeks officiating. Interment followed in Union Cemetery in Brewton, with military honors with Craver’s Funeral Home of Brewton directing.
Pallbearers were Russell Clausell Jr., Eddie Ramer, Andre Gillard, George Tolbert, Eddie Madden, Shane Gryner and Traderek Jones. Honorary pallbearer was Jimmy Owens.

AUTRY GENE HORTON
Deatsville

Autry Gene Horton, 79 of Deatsville, peacefully went to be the Lord on June 21, 2015, after an extended illness.
She was a caring mother, grandmother and faithful Christian who dearly loved God and family.
She was born in Brewton on October 9, 1935, to the late Aubrey and Amy Emmons of Brewton.
She was a 1953 graduate of Evergreen High School and worked as an executive secretary for T.R. Miller Mill Company.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Robert Horton, Sr., a son, daughter, two sisters and three brothers.
She is survived by her son, Robert Horton, Jr.; daughter-in-law, Tammy; and grandson, Nicholas.
A graveside service was held Tuesday at Pineview Cemetery at 10:30 a.m. with Pastor Roger Parks officiating and Craver’s Funeral Home directing.

CHARLES DAVID SALTER
East Brewton

Charles David Salter, 57, of Maddox Street in East Brewton, passed away Fri., June 19, 2015, in UAB Hospital after a brief illness.
He was a native and life long resident of the Brewton/East Brewton area.
He attended the Rock Hill Assembly of God Church, W.S. Neal High School, and was a former oilfield employee.
He is survived by five brothers, Larry Salter, Doug Salter, Gary Salter, Wayne Steele, and Mikey Dittman; six sisters, Paulette Golden, Shirley Salter, Diane Salter, Sheila McCracken, Darlene Salter, and Martha Salter Davis; one aunt, Stella Hobbs; and 18 nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Lillie Ruth Salter; sister, Frances Salter Tague; and a nephew, Noah Bernard Jackson.
Visitation will be held today from noon until 2 p.m. at Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home in Brewton.
Funeral services are scheduled for today at 2 p.m. at Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home with the Rev. Donnie Lindsey officiating.
Interment will follow in Damascus Cemetery in Brewton, Alabama with Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home of Brewton directing.
