For the second straight week, Brewton’s YMCA Sports Park will be filled with softball action as Brewton will host the 8U, 10U and 12U softball state championships starting Thursday.
The 8U group will only see Brewton and East Brewton competing against each other while the 10U group will see Alex City, Covington County, Tri-County, and Brewton going at it.
The 12U teams will be Alex City, East Brewton, Brewton and Covington County.
Recently, in the sub-state games in Brewton, Brewton’s 8U team won the sub-state championship while EB took the runner-up spot. In the 10U games, Tri-County won the championship over CC.
In the 12U games, East Brewton took the runner-up spot to Covington County.
