3 arrested on theft of property

The Brewton Police Department has made the arrest of three individuals in the Brewton area.
Sgt. Patrick Caylor said David Johnson II of Atmore, Devontae Peterson of Brewton, and Mykail Johnson of Brewton have all been arrested.
“Back on June 23, we had a blue Chevy Malibu that was reported stolen,” Caylor said. “We recovered that vehicle on June 26 in Atmore. On July 7, the same vehicle was stolen again and recovered in Century, Fla., on July 9. Also on July 7, we had a 2000 Chevy Silverado Z71 stolen and it was recovered on July 9 in Brewton.”
Caylor said upon further investigation, they arrested Johnson, Peterson and Johnson on theft of property I.
Caylor said the investigation is ongoing with more suspects possibly being involved.
