A Brewton husband and wife have been charged with attempted murder following a July 2014 shooting.
Records show Daniel Lester Norton, 42, and Jennifer McCall Norton, 40, were indicted last month by the Escambia County grand jury.
Sgt. Patrick Caylor with the Brewton Police Department said the incident occurred on Glen Road following on ongoing dispute between the Nortons and one of three occupants inside the car.
Caylor said witness statements revealed that Mrs. Norton fired a small caliber handgun repeatedly into the side of the vehicle. She faces an additional charge of firing into an occupied vehicle.
The case was presented to the Escambia County grand jury. Both were arrested this week and booked into the Escambia County Detention Center under a $100,000 bond.
