The T.R. Miller Singers and the Brewton Middle School Singers are busy preparing for the Christmas season.

All total there are 170 students that will comprise a mass choir for the December schedule. Performances are scheduled at the high school auditorium, all three Brewton City schools and Brewton First United Methodist Church.

Students who are auditioning for the All State Choral Festival are busy preparing music. Auditions for Encore, the high school show choir, were held this week and rehearsals will start soon.

The group is pleased to welcome Jaime Snowden, TRM alumni, as choreographer for the group. Her expertise in dance and vocal music will be a great asset to the group, director Greg Blackman said. Additionally, the Junior BMS Singers have begun rehearsals as well. This is Blackman’s 21st season heading the programs.
