T.R. Miller volleyball lost in the elite eight round to Madison Academy 3-0.

TRM lost the sets; 6-25, 12-25 and 10-25.

TRM head volleyball coach Terri Lynne Peacock says she is proud of her team and believes the experience will motivate the team next season.

“I am proud of our girls and their efforts this season,” Peacock said. “We would have liked a better end result at state, but we came up short against a good team. [Madison Academy] performed well and was the better team. I am excited our team got the state tournament experience. It is a place they will remember and strive to make it back to in the future.”

Peacock said she is thankful for the leadership she saw out of her seniors this season.

“Our seniors provided solid leadership and spirit to our team throughout the season,” she said. “We are sad to see them go, but I am confident in our returning players to pick up where they left off.”
