JDCC drops final game of season

In their final game of the season at home against the Pensacola State College Pirates, the JDCC volleyball team would lose 3-1.

JDCC loss the first set, 24-6, before winning the second set, 25-19. The Lady Warhawks would lose the next two sets, 27-29 and 24-26.

W.S. Neal graduate Tiffany Sawyer had a big night with eight aces. Anna Kennedy led the team defensively with 23 digs followed by Jessica Porter with 21. Kayli Kirklin led the way with eight kills followed by Kyli Miner and Jessica Lewis with seven. Christian Divens and Sierra Lewis had six and five respectively. Lauren Merts led the team in assist with 16. Morgan Watkins had seven. Bridget Zessin and Brittany Warren also served two aces each. Loretha Madison had three blocks.

The Warhawks finished the season with an overall record of 4-20 and conference record of 4-10.

Kyli Miner, a freshman from Chipley, Fla., was named to the 2nd Team All-State.
