The Escambia County Children’s Policy Council distributed more than $60,000 to those in Brewton, East Brewton, Flomaton and Atmore for traffic safety and sobriety checkpoints and lighting in problem areas.

Each municipality was awarded $3,000 for law enforcement and $12,600 for lighting projects in the county and Brewton, East Brewton, Atmore and Flomaton.
