The Brewton City Council announced Monday two appointments to city boards.

Adam Powell was chosen to serve on the Brewton Public Library Board, while Councilman Fred Barton was chosen to serve on the city’s planning commission.

Powell was chosen by members of the city council, while Barton’s seat was a mayoral appointment.
