JDCC suffers blowout loss to Lawson State

Jefferson Davis Community College was outplayed in their game against Lawson State on Thurs., losing 59-90. The loss drops the Warhawks to 0-7 for the season.

Lawson State got off to a hot start and never looked back.  JDCC was outscored 29-47 in the first half and 30-43 in the second.

In their past three games Lawson State is on a streak of scoring 90 or more points. In their past four games, JDCC has failed to score 60 or more points.

The Warhawks shot 29 percent from the field, was 2-16 from the three-point line and had a total of 24 turnovers.

Leading JDCC were Dexter Williams with 15 points, four rebounds and two blocks; and Jerry Aaron with 12 points, 12 rebounds and two assists.

JDCC will look for their first win of the season Dec. 8 versus Stillman on the road. Tip off is at 5 p.m. in Tuscaloosa.
