Ashley Fore is one of those rare people who get to do what they love doing. Not only does she have a job that she enjoys, but in her spare time, she also makes dreams come true for others.

In her regular job, Fore is the Central Operations Clerk for the Escambia County Board of Education. Although she has only been at this job since 2011, her connection with education goes back much farther. Her mother taught school for many years at W.S. Neal.

Fore now works in the central office and with Julie Madden, the chief financial officer, on quarterly reporting.

“I enjoy what I do,” said Fore.

It’s not long before a smile breaks out on her face as she explains her “other job” of making dreams come true – helping people plan their Disney vacations.

Fore explained that her love of the Florida amusement park started with family trips. Her grandfather, she said, worked at Whiting Field and got discount Disney tickets.

“We went several times a year during my childhood and fell in love with the place,” she said. “ After I married and had children, they also loved going to Disney World.”

It soon became a favorite place for the whole family.

“One day I saw a notice on my computer asking for those who loved Disney to respond,” she said. “I did and became a part of My Mickey Vacation as a ‘dream designer’ planning trips for others who want to spend time at Disney.”

Fore said she hopes she will never have to choose between working at the board of education or doing the Disney trips.

“I would have to choose the work I do at the board office,” she said. “But I sure would miss planning the trips.”

Some of the free services she offers on the trips are personalized itineraries, dining assistance, discount monitoring, lay-a-way plans, free tips and advice, and other ways to help make for a fun time for all.

Fore was born and raised in Brewton. She attended T.R. Miller High School graduating in 1994. She worked at Touch One in Atmore but after getting married, she was able to stay at home with her children while they were little. She later worked with the PTO and did some substitute teaching.

She and her husband, Ryan, have three children, Tristan (19), Ryley (17) and Taylor (15).

Her family, not surprisingly, also loves Disney and is always ready for the next trip.

There is no charge to use Fore’s services.
