Police are still investigating the circumstances surrounding the shooting death of a Flomaton teen.

Flomaton Police Chief Bryan Davis said his department received the 911 call just before 1 p.m. Tuesday.

“When officers arrived at the Front Street area home, they found a younger black male inside suffering from a gunshot wound,” Davis said.

But, police are not releasing the circumstances that lead to the death of the teen, identified by family as 18-year-old Kenneth Harris.

Harris was pronounced dead at the scene and his body taken to the state department of forensic science for an autopsy.

Davis said his department is being assisted in the investigation by Alabama’s State Bureau of Investigation.

As of Thursday morning, no new information had been released as the case remains under investigation.
