T.R. Miller offensive coordinator Mikel Riggs is leaving TRM for a similar post at Leeds High School.

School officials confirmed Thursday Riggs has submitted his resignation, which will be effective at the end of the current school year. The school board is expected to approve it at its next meeting.

At Leeds, Riggs will assume the role as offensive coordinator for the football team.

Leeds is a Class 4A Region 3 school coming off a banner year. Leeds was 5-1 in region standings before eventually moving on to defeat Fayette County 55-7 for the state title. Leeds finished the season 13-2.
