Dr. and Mrs. Dennis Anderson of Luverne are pleased to announce the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Amanda Shirley Layton, to Jonathan Leon Martin, son of Tommy and Helen Martin of Brewton.

The bride-elect is the daughter of the late Dale Layton of Luverne and the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. A.L. Shirley, also of Luverne, and the late Mr. and Mrs. Charlie Layton of Brantley.

She is a 1998 graduate of Crenshaw Christian Academy and is currently employed by Sister Schubert’s Homemade Rolls in Gift Sales/Customer Service and is the assistant to Patricia “Sister” Barnes.

The future groom is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Kennie Ashton and the late Mr. and Mrs. William Martin Sr. of Brewton.

He is a 1994 graduate of T.R. Miller High School and is a 2003 graduate of Reid State Technical College, where he earned a Class A certificate in commercial truck driving. He is currently the owner of Keego Trucking Inc.

The wedding will take place at the First Baptist Church in Luverne on Sat., May 14, 2016, at 5:30 o’clock in the afternoon with a reception to follow at the Luverne Country Club. All friends and relatives are invited to attend.
