Eagles have good showing at state

The Eagles represented W.S. Neal well at this weekend’s 4A state track and field meet in Gulf Shores.

Kelana Floyd and Quenton Samuel each earned medal finishes.

Floyd earned a third place in the long jump, while Samuel earned a third place finish in the 100-meter dash.

Malcolm Hawthorne earned a sixth place finish in the 100-meter dash and 11th in the high jump as well.

In the 200-meter dash, Jacobey Hawthorne came in 10th in the 200-meter dash while Samuel finished 11th.

Troy Lewis-Rankin finished seventh in thelong jump, while Tre English finished 14th in discus.

Chad Adamcyzk finished 22nd in the 300-meter hurdles, and Brahjon Taylor finished 20th in the 400-meter dash.
