Nearly 30 members of the Brewton police and fire departments are better prepared for the worst thanks to the Wills for Heroes project.

Managed by the Alabama State Bar, the project offers first responders free, basic estate planning services with experienced attorneys and legal professionals. Participating last Tuesday were members of the Escambia County Bar Association, including members of Otts, Moore, Coale, Godwin & Stearns –Thad Moore Sr., Eric Coale, Mike Godwin and Melissa Padgett; Joe Whitt of Thompson, Garrett and Hines; and James “Jimbo” Hart III.

“This is a really great program, and by host this event, it’s a way to give back to our local heroes, those who put their lives on the line for the citizens in our community every day,” said Padgett.
