Brewton Dawgs handle Greenville on the road

The Brewton Dawgs won in dominant fashion on Monday at Greenville in a double-header matchup. Brewton won game one 14-2, and game two 16-5.

 

Brewton 14, Greenville 2

Dalton Shell struck out seven batters over three innings to pick up the win on the mound for Brewton. Shell allowed two unearned runs and two hits.

Russell Smith came in for one inning of relief. Smith allowed no runs, two hits and fanned three batters.

Jacobey Hawthorne had two hits, three RBIs and two runs scored to lead Brewton on offense. Malcolm Hawthorne and O’Neil White both had two hits, two RBIs and two runs scored.  Caleb Winton had a hit, three RBIs and scored two runs. Derrick Barton scored three runs and had a hit.

 

Brewton 16, Greenville 5

Joshua Winton threw 2 2/3 innings of no hit baseball, but surrendered four earned runs in the process due to nine walks.

Dylan Emmons and O’Neil White pitched in relief of Winton.

Malcolm Hawthorne led the team with three hits, including two doubles. Hawthorne had two RBIs and scored two runs. Hunter Revel had two hits, with the highlight being a three-run home run. White had two hits, two RBIs and scored at run.
