Brewton Youth Football has big day versus Baker

The Brewton Youth Football league was in action against Baker this past Saturday. The Freshman defeated Baker 38-0. Sophomores lost to Baker 16-0. Juniors defeated Baker 20-7. Seniors defeated Baker with a comfortable 40-16 win.

Leading the Freshman bunch was Anteion Dees with four carries for 143 yards and two touchdowns; Josiah Payne had two touchdowns; and Cade Davenport had a touchdown.

Leading the Sophomores was R.J. Smith with 10 carries for 44 yards; and Aiden McCall with four tackles on defense.

Leading the Juniors in their win was Christopher Williams with four carries for 81 yards and a touchdown; Jaylen Williams with nine carries for 31 yards and a touchdown; Brodie Anthony had four receptions for 33 yards, a touchdown and two extra points; and Demarcus Streety had three tackles, a forced fumble and an interception on defense.

Leading the Seniors was Jim Daugherty at quarterback, passing for 140 yards and a touchdown; Jashaun Williams had 128 total yards and a touchdown; Javis Baldwin had 142 total yards and two touchdowns; Broox Hart had two receptions for 43 yards, a touchdown and an extra-point; and D.J. Fountain had four tackles and a forced fumble on defense
