The Brewton Council of the Arts will launch its 2016-17 performance season next week with the Mulligan Brothers.

The performance will be held on Thurs., Sept. 29.

The musical foursome is described as those who “gently weave heartfelt tales of love and loss into a complex, yet comforting quilt of bluegrass instruments.”

John Boutwell of Tuscaloosa will bring his mix of inspirational Christian gospel music on Thurs., Dec. 15.

Missoula Children’s Theater will again give local youth a chance to grace the theater stage as they bring “Peter & Wendy” to life on the JDCC stage on Sat., Feb. 11. The local production will need more than 50 children to make the evening a success.

Steep Canyon Rangers – a bluegrass band who earned a Grammy in 2013 for best bluegrass album – will arrive in Brewton on Thurs., Feb. 16.

The season will end on Thurs., March 16, with “Route 66,” a “rip-roaring, pedal-to-the-metal road trip down memory lane” featuring hits from years past and a show to remember.

All shows will be held at 7 p.m., in the Jefferson Davis Community College auditorium.

While individual tickets will be sold at the door, one may also purchase a patron family season package for $100; patron single package for $50; a family package for $50; adult package for $35 or senior package for those over 59 for $20.
