United Bank President and CEO Robert R. Jones III today announced plans to open a dedicated lending center in Brewton.

Located at 821 Douglas Ave., the new space will open Nov. 1 and will provide access for residents looking to buy, build or refinance their home and owners looking to open or expand their small business. Consumers will also find convenient access to auto and personal lending options at the Lending Center.

United Bank Community Bank Business Lender Al Holley and Commercial/Ag Lender Alex Jones will work closely to support lending and business development efforts in the new Brewton office.

Jones rejoined United Bank in March 2011 and is the primary contact for the bank’s New Market Tax Credit, USDA and SBA programs. He currently serves as a Lieutenant Commander in the United States Naval Reserve and is president of the Atmore Lions Club.  He spent his childhood in Brewton where he attended Brewton Elementary and First Presbyterian Church.
