TRM XC girls finish first, boys second in sectionals

The T.R. Miller cross-country team had one of its best performances as a team on Thursday at the AHSAA sectionals in Loxley.

The girl’s team earned first place out of seven teams. Allie Nelson and Olivia Blackmon finished first and second place overall. Individual performances for the TRM girls out of 54 runners were:

  • Allie Nelson, first place, with a time of 19:03.93;
  • Olivia Blackmon, second place, with a time of 20:23.10;
  • Hannah Douglas, seventh place, with a time of 22:30.77;
  • Elisabeth Coleman, ninth place, with a time of 22:42.48;
  • Carmen Knowles, 11th place, with a time of 22:45.70;
  • Rebecca Ann Moore, 12th place, with a time of 22:47.48;
  • Madison Lum, 14th place, with a time of 23:11.01;
  • Peyton Baxter, 19th, with a time of 24:24.15; and,
  • Emily Morgan, 26th, with a time of 25:28.57;

The boy’s team earned second place out of 11 teams. Travis Carlson led the way, placing fourth overall. Micah Flores and Tailand Mitchell also cracked the top-10 for the team. Individual performance times for the TRM boys out of 91 runners were:

  • Travis Carlson, fourth place, with a time 17:37.91;
  • Micah Flores, seventh place, with a time of 18:14.60;
  • Tailand Mitchell, 10th place, with a time of 18:50.23;
  • Tucker McDaniel, 14th place, with a time of 19:16.33;
  • Tanner McDaniel, 20th place, with a time of 19:32.98;
  • Jordan Delawerence, 23rd place, with a time of 19:38.72;
  • Joe Luttrell, 49th place, with a time of 21:31.36;
  • Gavin McNeil, 65th place, with a time of 23:26.49; and,
  • Brandon Coleman, 66th place, with a time of 23:36.45;

Both teams have qualified for state in Moulton, which will be held Sat., Nov. 12 beginning at 9:10 a.m.
