Georgia-Pacific recently donated a trailer previously used by the mill’s Emergency Response Team to the Appleton Volunteer Fire Department.

The fire department intends to use the trailer to store HAZMAT gear and equipment, among other uses. “We appreciate GP’s generosity,” said Appleton Chief Michael Tyler. “Volunteer fire departments depend on the generosity of area residents and organizations to maintain their operations and server the rural areas when needed,” he said.

GP was able to donate the trailer after purchasing a new emergency response vehicle for the mill.
