Brewton’s Kim Carroll, RN, CEN, CFRN, has been promoted to emergency department manager at Andalusia Health.

Carroll has worked in the medical field since 2002, when she completed her nursing degree from Jefferson Davis Community College. Working for the past 15 years in nursing, her heart belongs to the emergency, trauma, and critical care setting.

After graduation, Carroll began her nursing career at D. W. McMillan Memorial Hospital as an emergency room nurse, and transitioned into her role as a charge nurse and later worked in the critical care unit at Santa Rosa Medical Center.

Continuing her passion in the trauma field, Carroll became a Certified Flight Registered Nurse (CFRN) and for seven years flew as a flight nurse with Baptist LifeFlight 3. Carroll is also a regional staffing pool RN for Infirmary Health and dual licensed in Alabama and Florida as a Registered Nurse (RN) as well as Emergency Medical Technician (EMT).

She is an active member of the Air and Surface Transport Nurses Association (ASTNA) and the Emergency Nurses Association (ENA). She is also currently pursuing her bachelors in nursing (BSN) at Western Governors University, with plans to graduate in September of 2017.  She is married to James Carroll, a captain at the Brewton Fire Department. They have three fur babies: Remi, Emma, and Rocky.
