Change in paper delivery coming

Beginning Nov. 1, home-delivered subscribers to The Brewton Standard will begin receiving their newspapers through the U.S. Postal Service.

“This switch will allow The Brewton Standard staff to further its mission of providing quality community news coverage while elevating its level of service to our customers,” said TBS Publisher Stephanie Snodgrass. “By moving all of what we call our ‘thrown papers’ to mail, it helps to guarantee newspaper delivery. We appreciate each and every reader, and this is just one way we are working to provide the best product.”

The current subscription rates will remain the same so readers can enjoy The Brewton Standard’s award-winning news coverage and the security of postal delivery for $9.50 for three months; $19.50 for six months or $39 for one year. Out-of-county mail delivery prices will also remain the same at $45 per year.

“We are committed to continue to offer residents of the greater Brewton area the best local newspaper possible,” Snodgrass said. “We feel transitioning to postal delivery will help us maintain continuity of delivery and deliver the best newspaper possible in a timely manner.”

The Brewton Standard staff is prepared for the change; however, those with any questions or who would like more information should call our office at 251.867.4876.
