The Nutcracker Village has been a hit so far, as people are filling up the area of Dogwood Hills to celebrate Christmas with family and friends.

Brewton’s Director of Program Management, Connie Baggett, said that the event has been widely enjoyed.

“It is going really well,” Baggett said. “Everybody seems to be enjoying it.”

Kids have filled the small, decorated houses and spent their time talking to Santa and playing inside the houses with friends of old and friends of new.

“It is what Christmas is all about,” Baggett said. “We wanted to give people an opportunity to gather together for the holidays. It’s good for the city economically, as well.”

The people are happy and the city is benefiting from the Nutcracker Village. It’s a win-win.

“It’s really a bonus for everyone in the city,” Baggett said.
