The Greater Brewton Area Chamber of Commerce is seeking nominations for Citizen of the Year.

The winner will be announced at a banquet on March 8.

Judy Crane, executive director of the chamber, said the person must live in the Brewton or East Brewton area, and have lived her for at least three years.

The recipient’s achievements must have contributed to the enrichment of the Brewton or East Brewton area in one or both of the following areas:

• Business or professional achievements – the recipient must have established a successful business or been the person with the primary responsibility for the business.
• Community/civic affairs – the recipient must be active for a period of several years in community or civic work. This person may have worked in one or more of several areas such as health and welfare, education, cultural or other social causes.

All nominations are due to the Chamber by Friday, Feb. 16.
