Miller Lady Tigers 20-0

 

T.R Miller Lady Tigers improved their record to 20-0 Friday against Hillcrest Lady Jaguars.

 

The Lady Tigers defeated the Lady Jaguars on senior night with a 63-23 victory.

 

The Lady Tigers were in total control of the game from start to finish. By the end of the first quarter the score was 32-4.

 

Hillcrest was the last team to beat Miller Lady Tigers, which was last year in the Regional Championship game 52-44.

 

The Lady Tigers leading scorer was Janazsia Nettles, who provided 19 points, 2 rebounds, 2 steals, and 1 assist. Kyla Bell-Barton with 15 points, 15 rebounds, 2 steals, 1 assist. Valerie Samuel with 8 points, 5 rebounds, 3 steals, 6 assists. Alijah Fountain chipped in 8 points, 9 rebounds, 5 steals, and 3 assists. Steely Ruzic had 7 points, 8 rebounds, 2 steals, 1 assist. Vanessa Samuel with 3 points, 1 rebound, 1 steal, and 1 assist. Ravion Ewing also chipped in 3 points with 5 rebounds.

 

 

Tigers Fall Short

 

T.R. Miller varsity boys played against Hillcrest last Friday night on senior night. The Tigers fought hard, but they lost to the jags 72-50.

 

Coach Walker stated, “If there’s no struggle, there’s no progress.”

 

The Tigers are preparing to take on W.S Neal East Brewton, Friday, Jan. 26, at 4:30 p.m.
