Members of the Brewton Police Department and the Escambia County Sheriff’s Office on Friday searched a wooded area near 7 Mile Creek for Morris Andrew Cumbie.

Cumbie, 36, was last seen on Jan. 16.

Brewton Police Chief Monte McGougin said that Cumbie and a friend pulled off the side of the road near Tippens Eddy Road and County Road 76 and went their separate ways.

Family members say it is unusual for Cumbie to not be in touch with his mom.
