Thanks to Feeding the Gulf Coast, approximately 3,000 pounds of fresh produce will be distributed to the first 100 families in need who are residents of Conecuh County. This produce drop will fill a critical role in fighting hunger in Conecuh County.

The Produce Drop Program distributes thousands of pounds of fresh produce to communities in need. Areas in food deserts are often left with little access to fresh produce, or the price of fresh produce is too much for families in need to afford. Feeding the Gulf Coast delivers the produce to a single site for same day distribution, eliminating the need for food to be stored on site. This program helps families in need access healthy food.

**Residents of Conecuh County who are in need of food assistance can attend the produce drop on Friday, February 23, at 11:00 a.m. at Castleberry Community Development located at 212 Jr. High Dr., Castleberry, AL 36432.**
