Arrests for the week of March 7, 2018

During the week of Feb. 24, the Escambia County Sheriff’s Of ce responded to 297 complaints and calls for service, served 91 civil papers, made 59 trans- ports, and performed one domestic and one funeral escort.

Arrested were:

• Walter E. Moore, 38, of Brewton for two counts of failure to appear, attempt to elude and unlawful posses- sion of drug paraphernalia;

• Brittany M. Chaney, 31, of Atmore for failure to ap- pear and unauthorized use of a vehicle;

• Claude Thomas, 45, of Evergreen for unlawful distribution of a controlled substance;

• Takira N. Thomas, 27, of Atmore for theft by fraud- ulent leasing;

• Nicholas C. Puryear, 31, of Brewton for unlawful distribution of a controlled substance and unlawful possession of a controlled substance;

• Ashley L. Tucker, 33, of Atmore for negotiating a worthless negotiable instru- ment;

• Terri M. Thomas, 46, of Brewton for failure to ap- pear;

• Courtney S. Bullard, 27, of Brewton for failure to ap- pear;

• Shawn D. Mealer, 29, of Brewton for probation violation;

• Kerry K. McCall, 35, of Jay for failure to appear;

• Ashley L. Knight, 33, for negotiating a worthless ne- gotiable instrument;
