Master William Perry Marion

Brewton

Master William “The Warrior” Perry Marion, 3, of Brewton passed away Monday, March 5 in a Mobile hospital after an extended illness. He was a native of Bay Minette and a life-long resident of Brewton.

He is survived by his parents, Chris and Jessica Freeman Marion; brothe, Zack Marion; three sisters, Kirra, Koltyn and Eleanor Marion; paternal grandparents, Ray and Janet Marion; maternal grandparents, BJ Murphy and James Freeman; maternal great grandparents, Billy and Catherine Murphy, all of Brewton; and paternal great grandmother, Pauline Ausburn of East Brewton.

Funeral services were scheduled for Friday, March 9 at 11 a.m. at the East Brewton First Baptist Church with Rev. Larry Watts and Rev. Al Bethea officiating. Interment followed in Wildfork Cemetery Brewton with Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home of Brewton directing.

 

Ola Mae Mosley Johnson

East Brewton

Ola Mae Mosely Johnson, 81, of East Brewton passed away Thursday, March 8 in a local hospital after a brief illness. She was a native of Richland, Virginia, and a long-time resident of East Brewton. Johnson was a member of the Cedar Hill Baptist Church and a retired RN from D.W. McMillan Memorial Hospital.

She is survived by her husband, Clifford Johnson; son, Larry Ray Johnson, Sr.; daughter, Sara Elizabeth Gricius, all of East Brewton; two brothers, George Mosely of Monroeville and Andrew Mosely of Brewton; three sisters, Lola Mae Sawyer of East Brewton, Martha Jane Mosely of East Brewton, and Ann Mosley of Sandcut; five grandchildren; six great grandchildren; and five great great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Deborah Ann Armstrong Johnson, and great grandson, Nicholas Robinson.

Funeral services were scheduled for Sunday, March 11 at 2 p.m. at Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home with Rev. Tim Boggs officiating. Interment followed in Green Acres Cemetery Brewton with Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home of Brewton directing.

 

Billy Wayne Dixon

Montgomery

Billy Wayne Dixon, 63, of Montgomery passed away Thursday, March 8.

He is survived by his brother, George Dixon of Miramar, Florida; and five sisters, Charlotte Croom of Deatsville, Linda Hamrick Morrisboro, North Carolina, Lynell Lambert of Wetumpka, Susie Mims of Wetumpka, and Nancy Moore of Pensacola.

Graveside services were scheduled for Monday, March 12 at 2 p.m. at the Dixonville Cemetery with Rev. Dick Dual officiating. Interment followed in Dixonville Cemetery with Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home of Brewton directing.

 

Betty Marie Majors

Wing

Betty Marie Majors, 65, passed away on Tuesday, March 6 at her Wing residence.
Majors was born in Pensacola and had been a resident of Wing for the past 20 years, coming from Brewton. She worked as a cashier and was a member of Union Hill Church of Christ. 

Majors was preceded in death by her husband of 45 years, Johnnie Boyd Majors; and a son, Joseph Charles Majors.
She is survived by two sons, Jimmy (Nikki) Majors of Petal, Mississippi, and John Majors of Wing; one daughter, Jessie Majors of Elba; one brother, Stan Majors of Alaska; one sister, Shelia Ormiston of Pensacola; and 12 grandchildren.
Funeral services were held on Friday, March 9 at 2 p.m. at Union Hill Church of Christ with Minister Jared Knoll officiating. Interment followed in Union Hill Church of Christ Cemetery.

William Esie Wilson

Brewton

William Esie “Billy” Wilson, 77, passed away Tuesday, March 6 at Century Health and Rehabilitation Center.
Wilson was born in Brewton and had lived in Houston, Texas, prior to returning to Brewton in 2004. He was a member of the W.S. Neal High School class of 1959, and worked as a carpenter in the construction industry. Wilson enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was a member of Zion Hill Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Jean Harris Wilson of Brewton; a son, Ricky (Wanda) Wilson of New Caney, Texas; three brothers, James Aubrey (Annette) Wilson of Brewton, Jerry (Carolyn) Wilson of Andalusia, and Tommy Wilson of Brewton; one sister, Sharon (Dale) Wise of Enterprise; two grandchildren, Jessica (Tony Hinojosa) Wilson of Houston, Texas, and Melody Wilson of Houston, Texas; and one great-grandchild, Aiden Hinojosa.
Funeral services were held on Sunday, March 11 at 2 p.m. from the chapel of Craver’s Funeral Home with Bro. James Aubrey Wilson and Speaker Tony Wilson officiating. Interment followed in Zion Hill Cemetery.

Doris Geneva Chisholm

Satsuma

Doris Geneva Chisholm, 76 of Satsuma passed away on Thursday, March 8 at a Mobile healthcare facility.
Chisholm was born in Brewton and had previously been a resident of Semmes before moving to Satsuma in 1962. She was a homemaker and was of the Holiness faith.

Chisholm was preceded in death by her parents, Otis Leon and Gertrude Kennedy Evans; two brothers, Leon Evans and Nathan Evans; and sister, Betty Mosley.
She is survived by her husband, Taylor C. Chisholm of Satuma; sons, Taylor C. Chisholm, Jr., of Satuma, and Damon Curtis Chisholm of Satuma; daughters, Kathy Marie (Mike) Williams of Satsuma, and Karen Geneva (Don) Langley of Saraland; grandchildren, Fallon Prince, Johnathon Williams, Felicia Langley, Lisa McClendon, Preston Langley, Lonni Williams, Darla Stevens, Jackson Chisholm, and Ian Chisholm; and six great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held on Monday, March 12 at Craver’s Funeral Home Chapel at 1 p.m. with Rev. Johnny Cardwell officiating.
Interment followed in Wild Fork Cemetery, Wild Fork Community.
