The arcade project at Dogwood Hills is moving along, Mayor Yank Lovelace said Monday.

“We are moving along with the arcade,” he said. “We are looking at taking out some of the walls and putting some glass doors in an area near the restaurant to make an area that can be used for birthday parties.”

Lovelace said when the arcade opens, it will close at 8 p.m. on weekdays and 10 p.m., on weekends.

It was announced in February that the city was working on an arcade.

It will be in the former pro shop at the old Dogwood Hills Golf Course.

Plans are for the arcade to open this summer.
