Warhawks wins 1-of-4 games

The Coastal Alabama-East Warhawks played a double header against Enterprise State CC on Thursday and Saturday. Thursday games resulted with Enterprise defeating the Warhawks 2-0, and the Warhawks responded to the next game with a 15-6 victory.

On Saturday the Warhawks traveled to Enterprise and came up short in both games losing 7-6 and 5-4. Head coach Darrell Blevins said, “We played better Saturday, we just had some crucial mistakes.”

The Warhawks overall record is 7-of-20, being 4-of-8 at home and 3-of-11 on the road.

The Warhawks had plenty of production from freshman Hunter Reeves who led his team with 27 hits, 27 runs batted in, 14 runs, 14 doubles, seven walks and four home runs. Brandon Foster had 16 runs, 23 hits, eight doubles, 67 assists, five double plays, nine runs batted in, six walks and two stolen bases.

Dalton Rone had 14 runs, 22 hits, 42 assists, three doubles, three double plays, one triple, seven runs batted in, six walks and two stolen bases. Hayden Wright had 11 runs, 21 hits, seven doubles, three home runs, 13 runs batted in and three walks. James Adam had 12 runs, 22 hits, two doubles, 11 runs batted in, six walks and four stolen bases.

Andrew Giggs had 11 runs, 15 hits. 21 assists, six doubles, two home runs, ten runs batted in, seven walks and one stolen base. Also, Brandon Rembert had six runs, 11 hits, three runs batted in and four walks. We are playing extremely hard, but we are just not being rewarded with the wins, Blevins said.

The Warhawks combined for 115 runs, 182 hits, 41 doubles, two triples, 11 home runs, 106 runs batted in, 13 stolen bases and 79 walks. Blevins said “everyone on the team is getting better and while we are moving forward we have to get better, but we are better than what we was two weeks ago.”
