Threats of strong thunderstorms has pushed the annual Kick It at the Creek Concert and Crawfish Boil to Sunday.

The event, held at Jennings Park, was slated for Saturday evening, but according to the National Weather Service, there is a 70 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms that day.

Greater Brewton Area Chamber of Commerce Assistant Director Debi Pugh said they couldn’t run the risk with lightning and people being under trees on Saturday.

The event will be from 2 p.m. until 5 p.m., on Sunday.

“Come out and enjoy some great crawfish and live music with Neil Dover,” she said.

The cost for crawfish is $15 per flat.

Slices of pizza and Pepsi products will also be available for purchase.

The Chamber will also be selling Creek T-shirts.

“Bring your lawn chair, blanket or whatever you like and come enjoy the afternoon with us,” she said
