Burnt Corn Creek Mud Run

Brewton’s first Burnt Corn Creek Mud Run was a great success on Saturday as people of all ages came out together and just had a great time running and laughing with each other. The Mud Run was opened up with TRM’s Michael Floyd singing the National Anthem. With more than 300 participants, 100 volunteers and hundreds of spectators, the first Burnt Corn Creek Run raised more than $8,000 for charities to split and drew rave reviews, according to organizer Rob Atkinson.“First and foremost we want to thank our sponsors,” Atkinson said Monday, already drawing up plans for next year. “Without the City of Brewton, this would not have been possible at all.”
