TRM offers summer courses

The Children’s futures are important and making sure they get the help and teaching they need to be successful in life.

T.R. Miller High School will be offering courses for the summer that will be offered through Alabama’s Access distance learning.

A summer session will be for 12 days from the hours of 11:30 a.m. until 4:30 p.m., which includes a 10-minute break. Students will not be allowed to leave campus during the break.

The first semester courses or first summer session will start June 4 until June 27.

The second semester courses or second summer session will be from July 2 until July 27.

The fee for summer school is $150 per half credit. It’s too late to pay for the first session since the deadline for the first session was May 2. The second session deadline is today.

Attendance is mandatory for all days in each summer school session. Absences will be counted in half-day increments. Students who are absent more than one day pre session will not be allowed to return to summer school, credit will be denied and will not be given a refund.

Rules and regulations that controls student’s behaviors, where student’s activities and dress code are the same in summer school as in regular school as outlined in the code of conduct and the student handbook. The school administrator/designee will use discretion in cases where a discrepancy may need clarification.
