Georgia Bulldogs special team coordinator, Scott Fountain is ready for another great season of college football. Fountain is a native of East Brewton and a W.S. Neal alumnus. He is also a 1988 graduate of Samford University.

Fountain has been married to his wife Rosie for 27 years, and they have four boys; Brooks, Hunter, Tanner and Skylar Fountain.

He has coached at the high school and college level. He coached at Flomaton, W.S. Neal, Frisco City and Monroe Co before heading to the collegiate level. He coached at Florida State as a graduate assistant”, Central Fla., coaching offensive lineman, “Middle Tennessee coaching O-line”, Georgia Southern coaching the offensive line and Iowa State coaching tight ends. Fountain was also Auburn’s tight end and special team coach. He spent eight years at Auburn.

He is currently with the Georgia Bulldogs, where he is the full-time assistant coach. He was a special teams analyst for Georgia last year.

Fountain is Georgia’s special teams coordinator. “I enjoy being a Georgia Bulldog and being beside Kirby Smart is just great,” Fountain said.

He has deep ties to the state since the start of his career. “I always enjoyed coaching football and been blessed to coach in some great places. It’s been an enjoyable moment to have won one national championship and have played in four of them,” Fountain said.

“One of my exciting moments throughout my football career thus far was when Auburn was able to defeat Alabama on the missed field goal touchdown return,” Fountain said.
