For the past 22 years, the Franklin Primary Health Center, Inc., has hosted its celebrity golf tournament.
In those past years, many celebrity names have graced the tournament flyer including Ray Perkins, former coach of the New York Giants and Neil Armstrong, the first man to step foot on the moon.
This year that list of names continues to grow as more NFL greats will be added to it.
The FPHC Celebrity Golf Tournament this year will feature a number of former NFL football greats such as; Robert “Dr. Doom” Brazile (Houston Oilers, NFL Hall of Fame 2018), Vernon Perry (Houston Oilers, New Orleans Saints), Karl Powe (Dallas Cowboys), Hugh Greene (Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Miami Dolphins), Sherman Williams (Dallas Cowboys, University of Alabama), Mardye McDole (Minnesota Vikings), Roosevelt Patterson (University of Alabama, Oakland Raiders, L.A. Rams), Paul Crane (New York Jets), Clifton “The Stick” McNeil (Cleveland Browns, San Francisco 49ers), and Ben Harris (Mobile Sports Hall of Fame Football Coach).
The FPHC Celebrity Golf Tournament is the FPHC’s largest and most successful fundraiser and all proceeds from this event will aid in providing quality medical, vision, and dental care to patients in Mobile, Baldwin, Choctaw, Conecuh, Escambia, and Monroe counties.
The tournament festivities will kick off on Friday, August 17 at 6:00 p.m. at the Heron Lake Country Club with a Gala featuring a special roast of NFL Hall of Famer, Robert Brazile.
Public tickets for the Gala event are $50.00/per seat.
