4 jailed for meth, coke

Four people are behind bars after a plethora of drugs were found during a traffic stop in the area of Sowell Road and Lambert Street Friday evening.

In the vehicle with Simmons were, James Douglas Jackson Jr., 30, Brittany Faye Kimball, 31, and Brittany Gayle Bryant.
“A search of the vehicle was performed after a Brewton Police K9 alerted on the vehicle indicating that it sensed the odor or narcotics,” Police Chief Monte McGoughin said. “During the search officers located a plastic canister containing methamphetamine, a digital scale, a plastic bag containing more methamphetamine, a plastic bag containing powder cocaine and a plastic bag containing crack/cocaine.”
McGoughin said that all four subjects were arrested and charged with possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine, possession of a controlled substance (cocaine) and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Kimball was also charged with promoting prison contraband second degree and possession of marijuana second degree after additional, methamphetamine, cocaine and marijuana were found in her possession at the Escambia County Detention Center.
