Janice Bryant Barden, 61, of Citronelle, Ala. passed away Sunday, Dec. 2, 2018 at Mobile Infirmary from complications related to cancer.  She was born to the late, John Houston Bryant Sr. and the late, Claudean Prescott Bryant of Fayetteville, Ark.

She graduated from University of Arkansas with a B.A. in agricultural engineering. She was employed by Zimlich Florist in Mobile for 20 years. Later developed her on business, BB’s Flowers where she was best known for her beautiful floral designs done for wedding receptions featured in magazines.

 

Janice is survived by her husband Douglas E. Barden; a brother, John H. Bryant Jr. and wife, Shannon of Belle Vista, Ark.; and a sister Lynn Courson and husband, Paul of Lake Village, Ark.; nephews, Matthew Bryant, Christopher Bryant and Andy Chaney Bryant; nieces, Taylor Dean Courson and Ashley Hickman.

 

Services were held Saturday, Dec. 8 at 2 p.m. at First Baptist Church of Atmore, with Rev. Clay Lewis officiating. Interment followed in Oak Hill Cemetery.

 

Family received friends Saturday, Dec. 8 at the First Baptist Church of Atmore,

from 12 noon until service time at 2 p.m.
