Mr. Ernest Owen Hasselbrink,88, of Ridge Road in Brewton, Ala. passed away Monday, Dec. 17, 2018 in Houma, La. medical facility after a brief illness. He a native of Indianapolis, Ind., a former resident of Sumpter, S.C. and a long time resident of Brewton. Mr. Hasselbrink was a member of the Ridge Road Baptist Church, a U.S. Airforce veteran with more than 20 years of service, a member of the American Legion, the VFW and was a retired parts manager from Peach Ford. Survivors include three daughters, Tina (Glenn) Findley of Brewton, Ruth (John) Smith of Houma, La., Karah (Shane) Blackman of Brewton; six grandchildren, Robbie Findley of Brewton, Jacqueline Findley of Brewton, Mathew Smith of Youngsville, La., Sarah Martin of Houma, La., Nicole Blackman of Brewton, Owen Blackman of Brewton; nine great-grandchildren,Tanner Findley, Bailey Findley, Stiles Findley, Findley Gibson, Mason Smith, Peyton Breaux, Brady Martin, Samantha Martin, Ashton Martin.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Jackie King Hasselbrink; grandchild, William Blackman.
Visitation was held Friday, Dec. 21, 2018 from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home in Brewton.
Funeral Services were held on Saturday afternoon, Dec. 22, 2018 at 1 p.m. at Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home with the Rev. Kyle Cinereski officiating. Interment with Full Military Honors followed in Bradley Church Cemetery Bradley, Ala. with Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home of Brewton directing.
