Isaac Bonham added eight yards to the drive, then a play later landed the Blue Eagles a first down, as he shot through an open hole in the Red Devils’ defense.

Cage Sims had a 19-yard touchdown run for the Blue Eagles with 8:09 left in the third.

Brian Parker’s extra point was good.

The Blue Eagles went ahead 14-6.

Brian Parker’s point after was good, putting WSN up 27-6 at the end of the third.

In the fourth quarter, Neal put in some younger guys, but Cordova left in their starters.

In the fourth, Bonham got loose from Cordova defenders, breaking several tackles, getting the Eagles in the red zone.

On a second-and-five, Sims ran the ball to the 6-yard line.

Bonham scored once again to bring the Eagles 33.

Parker’s extra point was no good.

Cordova put up another 13 points toward the end of the fourth.

Bonham has 11 carries for 106 yards and two touchdowns.

Sims had four carries for 39 yards and one touchdown.

Smith had three carries for 33 yards, Craig has four carries for 27 yards.

Deshawn Smith had four carries for 26 yards and LaDarrius Harrison had two receptions for 65 yards.

Smith had one catch for 8 yards and a touchdown.

The team had 29 rushes for 250 yards and was 4-for-6 for 99 yards with a total of 349 total yards.

WSN head coach Andro Williams said that he was pleased with the first defense, who gave up no touchdowns to Cordova.

“Our younger guys gave up a 70-yard run there at the end,” he said. “We have a lot to work on going into the summer that we can take away from the scrimmage. I thought our kids had a good time playing. Traveling to and playing in a college stadium is a great way to end spring training.”

Williams said there were some busted assignments in the game.

“I wasn’t concerned about the score, but how we played the game,” he said.

“We wanted to make sure we blocked and tackle well. We did that with our older guys. JV guys have some way to go. Take the good we got from it. We wanted to see a lot of people on film, and we did. We are doing an evaluation on everyone from top to bottom.”

Williams said the thought that Neal was more physical than Cordova.

“We are going to work this summer to get stronger and faster,” he said.

“Try to get stronger and faster through the summer.”
