The Brewton Police Department were dispatched to Walmart on Wednesday at about 6 p.m. because a body was found inside a vehicle parked in front of the Garden Center. The Brewton Police Department’s Public Information Officer Heath Madison said emergency personnel responded to the scene and pronounced the person deceased. Madison confirmed that no foul play is suspected at this time. The deceased’s next of kin has been notified, and the body has been transported to the Alabama Department of Forensic Sciences. Madison said that an autopsy to determine the exact cause of death will be performed there.

“At this time, the case is still under investigation pending the official cause of death by the Department of Forensic Sciences,” Madison said. This is all of the information the Brewton Police Department is able to reveal about the case.
