BPD’s narcotics bust leads to seven arrests

Over a period of several months, narcotics investigators along with officers from the Brewton Police Department made multiple purchases of illegal narcotics. On friday, those purchases resulted in multiple arrest warrants being issued for ten individuals. The narcotics division made purchases of illegal narcotics including cocaine, marijuana, MDMA (ecstasy), and synthetic cannabinoids, also known as spice. At this time, seven of the ten wanted individuals have been taken into custody. The suspects who are still outstanding are as follows:

  • Denzell S. Mallard, 25, was charged with distribution of a controlled substance and possession of a controlled substance (synthetic cannabinoids).
  • Kendale M. Peterson, 32, was charged with distribution of a controlled substance and possession of marijuana in the first degree.
  • Frank j. Williams, Jr., 31, was charged with distribution of a controlled substance and possession of marijuana in the first degree.

Those arrested are as follows:

  • Jermaine D. Montgomery, 32, was charged with distribution of a controlled substance and possession of a controlled substance (cocaine).
  • Darryus J. Jackson, 25, was charged with distribution of a controlled substance and possession of a controlled substance (MDMA).
  • Eddie D. Smith II, 28, was charged with distribution of a controlled substance and possession of a controlled substance (synthetic cannabinoids).
  • Deondrae A. Smith, 29, was charged with distribution of a controlled substance and possession of a controlled substance (synthetic cannabinoids).
  • Keith R. Campbell, 56, was charged with distribution of a controlled substance and possession of a controlled substance (cocaine).
  • Trevon L. Smith, 21, was charged with distribution of a controlled substance and possession of a controlled substance (MDMA).
  • Mario F. Lane, 46, was charged with distribution of a controlled substance and possession of marijuana in the first degree.
