The Escambia County Board of Education will be hosting four free substitute personnel training days for those interested in working in the County’s school system.

Jones said that Escambia County has a great need for substitute teachers and teachers. Jones said during the training meetings, they will discuss the requirements for becoming a substitute teacher as well as review the substitute handbook and code of conduct. Those interested in working with the County’s school system are required to attend one of the training days. Jones said the meetings are typically two hours long. Aug. 2 – 9 a.m. – Escambia County Middle School (Cafeteria)

Aug. 6 – 9 a.m. – Flomaton High School (Auditorium)

Aug. 7 – 9 a.m. – W. S. Neal High School (Auditorium)

Aug. 9 – 9 a.m. – Atmore Central Office
